From the Museum of the American Revolution’s website: (http://www.americanrevolutioncenter.org/)
“The award-winning exhibit firm MFM Design is creating powerful displays of artifacts, immersive environments and interactive experiences that willbring to life the personal stories of the founding generation: Virginia planters and New England farmers; mechanics, laborers and seamen; American Indians and African Americans; women who followed their loved ones to war, and some who fought beside them. Visitors will stand in the presence of objects that witnessed the era, and the people, who changed history.
The Museum of the American Revolution will offer 32,000 square feet of engaging experiences in permanent and changing exhibit galleries, two theaters, and space that will accommodate a broad range of programming.
The Museum will be steps away from where the Declaration of Independence was drafted, debated and adopted; Carpenter’s Hall, where the First Continental Congress met; Franklin Court, Benjamin Franklin’s home; and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Revolution. Millions of visitors from around the world travel to this historic neighborhood to learn about the birth of America. The Museum of the American Revolution will serve as a portal to the nation’s many Revolutionary sites, sparking interest, providing context, and encouraging explorations that begin at the Museum’s doorstep.””
